Rare and striking mid 20th century Italian teardrop vase c.1970. Made on the small island of Murano near Venice. Incredible layered emerald green and warm yellow colour tones, a result of using the sommerso technique. Several Murano factories have made sommerso glassware in this teardrop style, including Mandruzzato, Bucella Cristalli, Campanella, Oball, and V. Nason.
