Stunning set of 6 mid century dining chairs designed by John Herbert and manufactured by Younger c.1960 (Model - Volnay). Constructed from solid afromosia (African teak) with comfortable vinyl seat pads. A striking design clearly heavily influenced by the Scandinavian aesthetic with its clean lines and sculptural joinery. A substantial set of chairs certainly built to last.
Condition: Excellent condition. Structurally perfect. Frames have been cleaned and oiled enhancing and protecting the wood. Minor age related marks (barely visible and in no way detract. Superb examples of their kind.
